---|---|
2 | Divine Beast Vah Ruta |
3 | Divine Beast Vah Rudania |
4 | Divine Beast Vah Naboris |
Each time you defeat a Divine Beast, you will learn a Champion's Ability. The above recommended order is determined by the versatility of the Champion's Abilities, and the detailed reasons for the recommendation are explained below.
Champion's Abilities acquired by defeating Divine Beasts
Vah Medoh | Revali's Gale Create an upward draft that carries you into the sky. Activated by charging jump with [X] button. |
---|---|
Vah Ruta | Mipha's Grace When your hearts run out, you'll automatically be resurrected with full health plus temporary bonus hearts. |
Vah Rudania | Daruk's Protection It will automatically protect you from all attacks as long as you're holding [ZL] button. |
Vah Naboris | Urbosa's Fury Summons powerful lightning to the surrounding area. Trigger with a charge attack by holding [Y] button. |
Best To Start With Divine Beast Vah Medoh
Best Ability For Exploration: Revali's Gale
Revali's Gale, which can be obtained by defeating Vah Medoh, is an ability that allows you to rise into the air. It is recommended to obtain it in the early stage, as it is useful in various situations, including exploration.
Relatively Easy Difficulty Level
Another reason to recommend it is the relatively easy difficulty of completing the dungeon and boss. However, you will need to be prepared for the cold weather, so get Warm Doublet and cold-resistant dishes.
Divine Beast Vah Medoh WalkthroughVah Ruta and Vah Rudania Can Be Started Either Way
There is not much difference between Vah Ruta and Vah Rudania, no matter which one you start with. Note, however, that the route to Vah Rudania is a bit more environmentally challenging, including the need for heat-resistant protection.
Leave Vah Naboris Later Due to the Difficulty
The ability obtained from Divine Beast Vah Naboris is very powerful, with effects that cause damage over a wide area. But it is difficult to complete the Yiga Clan Hideout and the boss, Thunderblight Ganon, there are many tough spots for beginners and those who are not that skilled at boss fights yet. For this reason, Vah Naboris is recommended to be the last one in order.
You Can Take It Head On First If You Are Confident Enough
If you are used to action games or want to try something a little more challenging, you can try Vah Naboris first.
Divine Beast Strategy Guide
Complete As Many Shrines As Possible
The bosses in the Divine Beast dungeons have relatively high attack power, so it is easy to die instantly if you challenge them without reinforced Hearts. It'd be better to complete the shrines and strengthen Link well in advance.
Upgrade Your Armor
Most of the armor you got can be upgraded. Complete the mission of Great Fairy to enable the Equipment Upgrades. The adventure would be easier with the upgraded armor reducing your damage.
It Is Useful To Upgrade Runes
After visiting the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab in the Main Quest, talk to Purah to trigger a Side Quest which allows you to upgrade your Runes, Remote Bomb and Stasis. Stasis is especially useful as it adds an effect that stops enemy from moving. It is recommended to upgrade them as soon as possible.
Cook HP Recovery Foods
The only way to recover Link's Hearts in the Divine Beast dungeons is to eat food. Gather cooking ingredients and stock up on more recovery-type food before taking on the Divine Beasts.
