It Is Auto Saved

In Breath of the Wild, the game is automatically saved during area transitions and loading. Up to 5 auto-save files can be stored per account, and they can be loaded at any time.

You Can Manually Save Only Once

You can save manually only once per account, at any time you want. The manual save data will remain until you overwrite it with a new manual save.

Game Saving Tips

Auto Save Is Always Overwritten

When a new auto-save is created, it always overwrites the previous one. Since old data will be erased, it's a good idea to manually save if you think you might want to redo something later. However, keep in mind that only one manual save can be kept at a time.

Multiple Data Cannot Be Saved

For each account, only one set of save data can be saved. If multiple people play on the same Switch, you will need to create multiple accounts on the Switch itself.
