Should I Get The Expansion Pass?

Get The DLC Expansion Packs For The Full Experience

The DLC is packed with a considerable amount of content for its price, making it quite a good deal. If you want to fully immerse yourself in the world of BotW and the main game alone isn't enough, you should definitely consider purchasing it.

Not Necessary If You Only Want To Know The Story

If you're seeking for a fulfilling and challenging experience, the main game itself has plenty of replay value. However, if you're looking to quickly complete the main story, you can skip the DLC.

When Should I Buy It?

Purchasing It Right From The Start Of The Game Is Possible!

By purchasing DLC, additional items such as EX treasure chests are added throughout Hyrule including the Great Plateau. Items such as the Majora's Mask, which have the effect of making the player invisible to enemies and are useful for exploration, can be obtained early on in the game. Therefore, there is absolutely no problem with purchasing them right from the beginning!

You Need To Make Some Progress To Access Essential Contents

Some of the additional elements of the DLC, such as upgrading the Master Sword and enhancing the abilities of the Champions, require a certain level of progress to fully access. It might be worthwhile to start playing without purchasing the DLC, and wait until you reach the critical story elements, such as the conquest of the Divine Beasts, before deciding to make the purchase.
