Clear All Captured Memories

To get the true ending, you need to clear all the Main Quest "Captured Memories". After clearing the quest, defeat Ganon at Hyrule Castle to see the true ending in a post-credits cutscene.

Difference Between The True And Normal Endings

The Normal Ending Ends With Looking Up At Hyrule Castle

Normally, the ending ends looking up at Hyrule Castle

After the credits, a cutscene is played, and there is a scene where King Rhoam and others look down at Link. Afterwards, Zelda and Link look up at Hyrule Castle as if they have noticed something. If you have not cleared all the Captured Memories at this point, it will end with The End.

The True Ending Has An Additional Cutscene After The Normal Ending

If you have cleared all Captured Memories, it is the same as the normal ending until partway through. However, after the final "The End" scene, a new cutscene is added that shows Zelda and Link continuing to work for Hyrule.

Post Game Contents After The Ending

The Save Data With A Star Can Be Used To Go Back To Before Ganon Was Defeated

The game will not be saved in the state where Ganon is defeated and the ending is reached. Instead, you will be taken back to the state just before defeating Ganon and a star will be added to your save data. If you were not able to see the true ending, you can defeat Ganon again after clearing the Camera quest to confirm the true ending.

The Completion Percentage Is Added To The Map

After clearing the game, the completion percentage will be displayed on the Hyrule Map as a percentage. By simply completing the game, the percentage of progress is often less than 50%, so aiming for a completion rate of 100% has become one of the challenges for Achievement hunters.

Main Contents That Affect The Achievement Rate

  • Collect all Korok Seeds
  • Visit every named location on the map
  • Clear all Ancient Shrines

Other Added Elements

  • Eight Elite Enemies images can be purchased in the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab
  • You can check the number of defeated giant monsters from Kilton
  • Clear count confirmation for shrines/side quests
