To increase your Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, you'll need to offer "Spirit Orbs" to the Goddess Statue. These orbs can be earned by completing shrines, so seek out these scattered structures across the land, and present the orbs you earn to the statue.

Can Be Increased By 1 Stage With 4 Spirit Orbs

4 Spirit Orbs can increase either the Heart Container or the Stamina Vessel by one. Each level increase will increase the Heart Container by 1 and the Stamina Vessel by 0.2 rounds of the gauge.

Defeat The Divine Beast To Increase Heart Containers

In addition to offering "Spirit Orbs" to the Goddess Statue, you can also increase your Heart Containers by taking on the Four Divine Beasts in the Main Quest. Excluding the DLC content, the maximum number of Spirit Orbs obtainable is 120. It's worth noting that both Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels require a total of 132 Spirit Orbs to fully max out, which means it's not possible to fully upgrade both.

By purchasing the DLC, you can unlock four extra shrines and obtain a total of 124 Spirit Orbs. While it's not required to max out both Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels, it may be worthwhile if you're committed to exploring every corner of the game. Do note that even with the DLC, it won't be possible to fully upgrade both attributes.

You Can Temporarily Reach The Maximum (Health/Stamina) From Food Buffs By Cooking

If you find yourself short of reaching the max, don't fret! You can temporarily boost your (health/stamina) to the limit by cooking up a hearty or energizing dish. So whip up some max or stamina-boosting recipes and charge ahead with renewed vigor!

Also even if your Stamina Wheel is already fully upgraded, you can still temporarily exceed its maximum capacity with a well-prepared stamina-boosting dish, and you'll be able to go the extra mile when it counts. In the beginning, having few hearts can make battles challenging, but with experience, defeating bosses becomes achievable even with fewer hearts. Players who struggle with action games may want to focus on increasing their heart containers, while those who excel may prioritize increasing their stamina vessels.

Aim For 13 Heart Containers

When obtaining the Master Sword, having 13 heart containers is required. If you defeat all the Divine Beasts, you will have 13 heart containers with 6 remaining, so prioritize to upgrade it until obtaining the Master Sword.

It Is Possible To Exchange Spirit Orbs For Heart Containers At The Demon Statues

Required 120 Rupees

At the Demon Statues, you have the option to exchange your heart containers to stamina vessels. You can sell one type of vessel for 100 Rupees and purchase the other type for 120 Rupees, essentially exchanging them for a mere 20 Rupees.

Located To The Southwest Of Hateno Village

You might come across the Demon Statue on the side of the road by Firly Pond, which is situated in the southwest area of Hateno Village. When you first interact to the statue, you'll trigger a side quest known as "The Statue's Bargain," and you'll be able to move items between inventories for free the first time you use it.
