How To Beat Hinox
Procedure Guide
- Target the unarmored leg to inflict damage
- Shoot the eye with arrows
- Attack it with a weapon once it falls
- Lure it to attack and aim for the eye
- Attack continuously when it's down
Target The Unarmored Leg To Inflict Damage
When the Hinox turns blue or black, it wears armor on its ankles. Normal attacks won't work if it has armor, but if you aim for the unarmored parts, you can defeat it even without bringing it down with a bow and arrow.
Wooden Leg Armor Can Be Burned
Some Hinoxes have wooden leg armor, which you can burn them off with fire arrow attacks. This will disarm them and allow you to defeat them with regular attacks.
Shoot The Eye With Arrows
The Hinox can be defeated by targeting its weak point, which happens to be its eyes. Shooting the eyes creates a vulnerability that allows for a strategic attack on its torso while it's off-balance and immobilized on the ground.
Attack It With A Weapon Once It Falls
While the Hinox is struggling on the ground, focus your attacks on it with a weapon. Once it stands back up, quickly step back and use your bow and arrow to target its weak spot - the eye.
Lure It To Attack And Aim For The Eye
When its HP drops below half, it will start chasing after you while covering its weak point, its eye, with its hands. At the moment when it attacks you or grabs a tree, it becomes vulnerable, so use your bow and arrows to attack it at that time.
It's Easy To Defeat When You Have Urbosa's Fury
Urbosa's Fury is one of the most powerful key items you can use to attack, since its capable of dealing significant damage and electric shock to enemies, making battles much easier. If you have obtained this ability, make sure to use it frequently and take advantage of its strength.

Procedure Guide
- Use arrows to target the eyes
- Attack it with a weapon once it falls
- aim for the fallen eye and attack it to defeat it completely
Attack Strategy Is Basically The Same As Hinox
Basically, it is the same approach as with Hinox. As it lacks leg armor, it is possible to attack its legs continuously without the need to use bow and arrows.
Aim For The Fallen Eye And Attack It To Defeat It Completely
Once its HP drops below 50%, it will start losing its eye when knocked down. To defeat it, you must target and attack its fallen eye until its HP reaches zero. Keep in mind that attacking the bone parts will have no effect even with repeated attacks, so proceed with caution.
