Forbidden City Entry Strategy Guide
Activate the Wasteland Tower
First, go to the Jee Noh Shrine located southwest of the Great Plateau. Using this shrine as a landmark, climb upward using the scaffolding on the cliff face, and you will see the Wasteland Tower. Before heading to Gerudo Town, activate Wasteland Tower first.
Prepare Medicine and Heat-Resistant Foods at Gerudo Canyon Stable
Since you might got damage by the heat while moving during the daytime in the Gerudo Desert, you should buy the Winterwing Butterfly from merchants such as Beedle at the Gerudo Canyon Stable before you go, and use it as a material to make heat-resistant medicine or food.
How To Make Chilly Elixir
Chilly Elixir | Winterwing Butterfly x Monster Part Cold Darner x Monster Part |
---|
The higher the doses of Winterwing Butterfly or Cold Darner, the longer the duration of Elixir. However, note that the duration is not significantly doubled, so it is enough to prepare two or three Elixirs made in 1:1 quantities.
No Need To Deal With the Heat During the Night-Time
In the Gerudo Desert, the temperature drops at night, so you need to have the cold resistance. If you got the Warm Doublet in the early stage, it'll be fine to go to the Gerudo Desert at night. However, you also need to be aware of the Skull-type enemies appearing at night.
Talk To The Man At The Shrine Near Gerudo Town
Men are not allowed enter Gerudo Town. Talk to the man near the shrine at the entrance of Gerudo Town to trigger the quest. Be sure to talk to this man as no one else will appear to sell you women's clothing to enter the town.
Go Back To Kara Kara Bazaar and Buy Clothes For 600 Rupees
When you return to Kara Kara Bazaar, you will find Vilia on the roof, dressed in pink, where you can buy a set of women's clothing for 600 Rupees. Equipping all of this set will give you resistance against heat, so you can move freely in the desert during the day.
Enter Gerudo Town Wearing Women's Clothing
Equip the Gerudo veil, Gerudo top, and Gerudo Sirwal you bought from the merchant, so you can freely enter Gerudo Town. This quest will be completed upon entering.
