Not Accessible When Enemies Are Nearby
The location of supply drops may be seen but you cannot access it when enemies are nearby. You need to defeat the enemies first before you can open it. Manage to clear the surroundings first.
Observe Flying Enemies
The supply drops are not accessible too if there are flying enemies in the area. You may tend to overlook the enemies up in the air when gathering supply drops.

Supply drops are randomly dropped onto the field; from these, you can get rare materials & items such as Nopon Coins.
