How To Activate Auto Run

Activated By Pressing The Left Stick Button

Pressing the Left Stick button enables auto-run feature. Auto-run, as the name implies, is a useful feature that allows the character to run automatically.

Auto Run Status Shows When Activated

During auto-run, a human-shaped symbol appears in the lower right corner of the screen. Check the lower right corner to see if autorun is in progress.

Deactivated By Pressing Left Stick Or Running to Opposite Direction

If you want to cancel the auto-run, press the L stick button again or move the stick opposite the direction you are moving.

Auto Walk Is Also Possible

If the L stick button is pressed while walking, you can also walk in auto. There are not so many occasions when you will use this function since auto-run is basically preferred, but keep in mind that you can also walk automatically.

Benefits Of Using Auto Run

Easier To Move Around

A benefit for using Auto run is it reduces the burden of moving or traveling. Most of the time spent playing Xenoblade 3, you will be traveling in-game. Instead of having to press and hold a single button for a long time, this feature enable you to passively run towards a single direction.

Easier To Escape Against Enemies

The autorun continues even when encountering or being attacked by enemies. This is convenient when moving around while ignoring enemies.
