Three Way To Save Files / Data
Auto Save (Automatic Saves)
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the game automatically saves when a landmark is discovered in the field or during specific points in your exploration. Do not turn off the power when the auto-save notification appears on the lower right corner of the screen.
User Save (Manual Saves)
Players can have up to 3 save files per account. Manually saved data do not get overwritten unless done so manually by the player.
How To Save Manually
Press the X Button to open the menu and select System then the Save option. A Save screen will then show all of your save data. Select which slot you wish to save to or which file you want to overwrite.
Quick Save
Apart from manual saves, there is a quick save option in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. You can use it to save quickly without needing to go to the Save File menu since you just need to use two buttons for it. However, note that it overwrites previous Quick Saves since there's only one file for Quick Saves.
How To Quick Save
Press X to open the Menu, then press the Y button to quick save! If you see the quick save indicator in the lower center of the screen, it means the Quick Save was successful.
How To Load Save Files
Start Last Save By Pressing Continue On Title Screen
By selecting Continue on the title screen, the game will load the most recent save file. This will get the last made save file from the Auto Save, Manual Save, and Quick Save. Those who simply want to start the game from where they left off can just use the Continue option.
Select Save File With Load Option
if you want to select which save file to load, press the Load option on the title screen instead. From here, you will be able to choose which Save file you wish to play. Use this function to go back to certain points in your previous saves.
