The Valkyrie Sword has a hidden technique that is not listed anywhere in the game. Performing like a Helm-Splitter move, it can deal a great deal of damage and has high vertical reach, with relatively easy command. However, it can only be used when the Valkyrie Sword is equipped.
How To Learn Techniques & Raise Mastery
Mastery Unlocks Technique Across Weapons Of Same Category
When you've maxed out your Mastery of a specific technique, this becomes available to do in any weapon of the same category.
Techniques With No Mastery Is Only For Specific Weapon
Some techniques don't have Mastery bars. This means that you can't unlock them for weapons of the same category. These techniques can only be used and done by that specific weapon.
Use Specific Weapon To Raise Technique Mastery Fast
Techniques can only be used by a specific weapon, which you can check in your Journal. The more you use the Technique with these weapons, the more your Mastery will grow.
Mastery Goes Up When You Hit Enemy With Technique
Mastery goes up when you successfully hit and defeat enemies with a specific technique.
Read Books From Bookshelves
The most basic way of learning a technique in Bloodstained is to read the many bookshelves scattered across the game's map. These can be read over and over again, if the player needs a refresher.
Techniques Can Be Used Even If Not Read From Bookshelf
Even if you haven't "read" a specific technique from a bookshelf, you can still use it in the game. As long as you know the controls, you can execute any technique available to that weapon.
