1. Find Carpenter's Key In Cathedral
The Carpenter's Key can be found in the northern-most part of one bell tower in the Dian Cecht Cathedral. You'll need to get there via the use of the Invert Shard.
2. Room Is In Oriental Sorcery Lab
You can face off with the Master Carpenter in the Oriental Sorcery Lab. The room is north of the fast travel point, to the left of a vertical room in the western part of the zone.

Throws Woodworking Tools As Projectiles
The Master Carpenter mainly uses his woodworking tools as weapons, throwing them in your direction to deal heavy damage. Jump up and over them to avoid getting hit.
Projectiles Move Horizontally Or Diagonally
The Master Carpenter's throwing direction is challenging to predict. It doesn't have enough lead time to let you know if he'll throw his projectiles horizontally or diagonally, so be ready to jump or duck.
Has Very High HP
The Master Carpenter fight can be long and arduous with its big HP bar. Bring a lot of recovery items to sustain yourself during the fight.
Bring Weapon With High DPS
Weapons that attack fast and can do high damage-per-second will be good against the Master Carpenter. It's best to take him down fast before he summons Demon Lords to disturb the fight.
Summons Demon Lords To Attack You
When left alone long enough, the Master Carpenter will start building something, if you disrupt him, he'll summon Demon Lords to meddle in your fight. Be sure to take care of them first to avoid massive AoE damage.
Builds Chest With Imbrued Bone When Not Interrupted
If you don't hit the Master Carpenter when he's building, he'll complete construction and leave a chest. You can open this chest and get an Imbrued Bone, a crafting material for end-game gear!
Best To Wait To Avoid Summons
It's best to wait for the Master Carpenter to finish building the chest as he'll be too focused on this act. This prevents him from summoning Demon Lords and keeps the area clear of them.
Master Carpenter Boss Fight Rewards

Defeating the Master Carpenter can give you the Chisel Barrage Shard. This launches a bunch of chisels forward as an attack, consuming MP.
