Arvantville ~ 1st Save Point Walkthrough Chart

| 1 | After the cutscene with Johannes, continue going right until another cutscene is triggered |
| 2 | Door to the right is blocked, talk first to Johannes and save at the save point |
| 3 | Talk to Dominique to get the key. She also sells items |
| 4 | Head up and go outside through the locked door |
| 5 | Head up to the ledge just above the door to get a an Ammo Capacity Up |
| 6 | Continuing to the left will lead you to a Warp / Fast Travel Room |
| 7 | Head back out to the village and continue going to the right until you reach a collapsing roof |
| 8 | Continue heading right past the room with the chest |
| 9 | Pull the lever to drop the draw bridge |
| 10 | Cross the draw bridge to reach the Castle Entrance |
5. Get The Ammo Capacity Up
There's an Ammo Capacity Up you can pick up on top of the building above the previously locked door.
7. Stand On The Roof On Top Of Chest
To get the chest, you must stand on the roof and wait for it to collapse. This will lead you to the chest containing the Elf Ears accessory.

| 1 | Continue going to the right until you reach a room with platforms and a chandelier |
| 2 | Go up using the platforms and chandelier to acquire chest containing Leather Chestguard |
| 3 | Go down and proceed to the right past the room with a pool of blood and use the Save Point |
| 4 | Head back to the room with pool of blood and ascend up the platforms |
| 5 | Go to the right until you see a path down |
| 6 | Drop down to reach a chest containing 500G |
| 7 | Continue to the right to trigger a cutscene |
| 8 | Continue forward until you reach the Garden of Silence |
| 9 | Proceed to the right while defeating enemies in this area until you reach an area with the Coachman NPC |
| 10 | Head up to the platforms above and proceed to the upper left |
| 11 | Go to the left and defeat enemies in this area and secure the chest containing Morgenstern |
| 12 | Head back to the previous room then go up to the next room using the platforms |
| 13 | Continue going to the left until you reach a room with thin platforms. Drop down to get HP Max Up |
| 14 | Head back up and continue going left until you see a red-lit door |
| 15 | Continue going left until you see some stairs. To the upper right is a Save Point. To the lower left is a Fast Travel point |
| 16 | Head back outside and go to the left room to face Zangetsu |
13. Make Sure To Get HP Max Up
This can be easy to miss if you continue going on without exploring the entire room. Drop down once through the thin platform to acquire this.
15. Save To Avoid Repeating Entire Steps
The boss fight ahead can be quite tough so make sure to save since getting to this point requires a lot of steps.
vs. Zangetsu Boss Fight Tips
Get Behind Him As He Recovers
Most of his attacks recover slowly and gives you an opening to attack. This will be your key to beating Zangetsu.
Use The Heretical Grinder For Multiple Hits
Zangetsu has a few openings you can take advantage of. When he raises and charges his sword, use the Heretical Grinder shard to deal multiple hits.
He Throws A Dagger To Counter Jumps
Be cautious when jumping since he throws daggers diagonally upwards to counter jumps.
Watch Out For His Grapple - Sword Combo
He will grapple up to the ceiling and slam down his sword. Dodge away the moment he grapples up.
Has A Slow Jump to Downward Slash Attack
He will jump up and slash his sword down. This move is quite slow so dodge away to avoid damage.
Watch Out For His Jumping Upward Slash
When close enough, he will jump up to the air and slash his sword upwards. Avoid getting too close to Zangetsu when attacking to avoid this close range attack.
He Can Parry Your Attacks
He will taunt you then raise his sword and await for your attack. Do not attack him while he does this pose, instead jump over him and attack from behind.
Imbues Sword With Flames
He will imbue his sword with flames to deal more damage.
Throws Explosives In This Mode
He can also throw explosive daggers while in this mode so watch out.
His Jumping Slam Causes Explosions
In this mode, his jumping slam attack will cause a huge explosion. Make sure to get some distance to avoid the explosion.
He Can Teleport Behind You
His teleport move will position himself behind you. Instead of dodging back, move towards him and jump to avoid the quick slash attack that follows.
