The Western Cave has 20 floors and houses mainly Psychic Pokemon. At the top floor, you'll fight with the man-made Psychic legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo.

Recommended Level: 50+

It's best to be level 50 and above when you venture into Western Cave. You'll be faced with Pokemon at around this level, so it's best to have a slight edge in power.

It's best to bring Dark or Bug Pokemon to fight off the plethora of Psychic-types you'll encounter in Western Cave.

Recruit Jynx & Girafarig

Jynx has the Dark-type move "Lick" that can paralyze its enemy while Girafarig's "Crunch" move is super effective against Psychic Pokemon.

Chance To Recruit Mewtwo After Defeating

After defeating Mewtwo in battle, you have a chance to recruit it and have it come home with you. To up your chances, have a party member hold a "Friend Bow" or have the Rare Quality "Squad Up" or "Friendly".

Has Its Own Rescue Camp

Even if you have no extra space in your party or don't have the Rescue Camp for Mewtwo, it'll still come home once it gets recruited. They make their own Rescue Camp when you recruit it.
