How Do I Update My Nintendo Switch?
Prior to playing the game on your Nintendo Switch, you will need to update the console with the latest version update; either via the pop-up prompt you'll see upon launching the console, or manually through the system settings.
Automatic Update via Pop Up Prompt
Upon turning on your Nintendo Switch for the first time after the System Update has been launched. You will automatically receive a pop up prompt, asking whether if you would like to update the console. By selecting "Update", you can have your console updated to it's latest version.
Manually Updating the Switch
Step 1. Open the System Setting
If in case you would want to manually initiate the Update, select the System Setting (icon shaped like a gear) on the main menu.
Step 2. Scroll Down & Select System Update
Scroll down to the bottom and select the System Update under this section to initiate the manual update.
Why Can't I Update?

Prior to updating your console's firmware, be sure that your Nintendo Switch is properly connected to the internet. You may check your current connection status from the Internet section on the System Setting.
Make Sure Airplane Mode is Turned Off
You will not be able to connect to the internet if in case you have the Airplane Mode activated on your Switch. You may turn this feature on/off from the same System Setting menu.
