1: Keep Your Distance To Avoid Powder Snow Attack
Pokemon often seen around this dungeon such as Snorant and Piloswine have a powerful AoE move "Powder Snow" that can reach across the entire room the user is in. Though being a powerful move, they only seem to use them when you are close by. Use ranged attacks to pick them off when found.
1: Shops Found Frequently
In this map, there is a good chance you will come across a shop in the dungeon. Use this chance to stock up on any supplies; you will have limited shopping chance while running as a fugitive!
2: Frosty Forest is a 2 Part Dungeon
Frosty Forest is a 2 part dungeon much like Mt. Blaze. You will have a chance for a rest once you reach past the 9th floor, serving as a check point. Use the Kangaskhan Statue to replenish or store items as you see fit.
5: Absol will Join the Team After Boss
After defeating Articuno, a cutscene will ensue and Absol will join your team. Upon joining, you will also get his Camp set for free.
Boss Fight: Articuno - Walkthrough & Tips
Type | Ice, Flying |
---|---|
Weaknesses | Steel, Fire, Electric, Rock |
Others | Pressure |
Moves | Powder Snow, Mist |
Powder Snow Can Freeze You
Powder Snow will be Articuno's main means of attack, and a deadly one at that. Not only does it have a long reach, it also has a chance to freeze your Pokemon, allowing Articuno to focus fire and easily chip away a great portion of the HP.
Articuno's Pressure Drains PP
Articuno's passive, "Pressure", can cause your Pokemon to consumer more PP than normal. Consider bringing more Pokemon to the fight to curtail its effects.
