Stormy Sea is a 40-floor Dungeon that will take you to the very Sea Floor. Survive & reach its end to face off against the Legendary Water Pokemon, Kyogre!

Unlock Stormy Sea After the Main Story

Players won't have access to the Stormy Sea Bonus Dungeon unless they've cleared the Main Story first. Then you'll need to talk to Whiscash & other Pokemon to get it.

Stormy Sea - Battle Tips

Recommended Level: 35+

Enemies in this dungeon are pretty tough and can hit harder especially when the weather is Raining. It's not advisable to go through it being underleveled.

Recommended Pokemon Type: Electric & Grass

Recommended Pokemon Type: Electric & Grass

Electric and Grass types are ideal for this Dungeon since the enemies are mostly Water and Ground types. Both Electric & Grass are strong & resistant to the enemies in the dungeon.

Rainy Weather Will Boost Water Attacks

Proceed with caution when the floor you're in has Rainy Weather. This means all water attack will be boosted, including those of your enemies.

The rooms inside the Stormy Sea dungeon are large and if you're unlucky, you'll need to walk through most of them to find the stairs. Try to conserve energy by switching between your Pokemons to control.

The boss at the end of the Dungeon is strong and can easily take down a team with its multiple target attacks. Prepare for that battle by rescuing and recruting Pokemon you find on your way.

Keep an Eye Out for a Mystery House

A Mystery House can spawn within the Dungeon. Keep an eye out for it. It will require an invitation for you to go inside of it.

Tips to Defeat Kyogre

Current Moves & Slows Allies

Current Moves & Slows Allies

A strong current can sweep through the floor, moving your Pokemon from their position and applying a slow debuff to them. Where your Pokemon ends up will be random.

Make Use of Orbs to Buff Allies

Make Use of Orbs to Buff Allies

All Protect Orbs and All Dodge Orbs will help you to survive against your fight with Kyogre since most of its moves can hit multiple Pokemon. Use them right after being swept by the strong current.

Kyogre Will Revert to its Primal State

Kyogre Will Revert to its Primal State

Deal enough damage to Kyogre and it will undergo Primal Reversion and go back to its Primal State. This will change its ability to Heavy Rain, which boosts Water-type attacks and nullify Fire-type attacks.

Use Status Effects on Kyogre

Use Status Effects on Kyogre

Put Kyogre to sleep or stun it with different items to stop it from attacking your team. This will give you enough time to deal damage with any risks of getting hit back.

Get the Chance to Recruit Kyogre Here

Get the Chance to Recruit Kyogre Here

Fighting Kyogre at the bottom of the Stormy Sea will give you the chance to recruit it! This is the only place where you can recruit the Legendary Water Pokemon.

Increase Your Recruitment Chances With Friend Bow

Boost your recruitment chances by equipping your party leader with a Friend Bow before battling Kyogre. This saves you time and effort as you may have to battle Kyogre again for a chance to recruit it.

Can Be Recruited even without Camp / Party Space

Can Be Recruited even without Camp / Party Space

Don't worry about the Camp or Party Space when attempting to recruit Kyogre. They can be recruited even if you have no space in your Party or camp.

Actually, the legendary pokemon boss fights are automatic recruits. Only pokemon like mew, deoxys, and a few others are random regular recruits in their dungeon
