Northern Range - How to Unlock & Overview
Face Off Against Latios
Northern Range is a bonus dungeon where you will be able to face off against the legendary Dragon Psychic Pokemon: Latios! Completing this dungeon will then unlock the Pitfall Valley Dungeon!
Unlock By Purchasing Southern Island Camp
In order for you to unlock this bonus dungeon, you must first complete the Great Canyon bonus dungeon, & purchase the Southern Island Camp. Once these have been fulfilled, a series of events will take place that unlocks the Northern Range dungeon!

Northern Range - Battle Tips
Recommended Level: 38+
Make sure that you are leveled properly for this dungeon. Many enemies waiting for you will be strong & can hit hard. If you are underleveled, consider training at the Makuhita Dojo to gain some levels!

Aside from the occasional Seviper, most of the enemies you will be facing in this dungeon are Flying and Bug Types. Having a Pokemon with Rock moves will allow you to easily pick off enemies, but other types such as electric and fire are also viable!
Bring Max Ethers To Replenish PP
With Rock type attacks being the go-to moves in this dungeon, it may be useful to bring tons of Max Ethers to resupply your PP. This will help you push through the 25 floors in this dungeon!
Recruit Pokemon Along the Way
Along the way, you may come across fainted Pokemon. Give them an apple to revive them, and add them to your party! Having more Pokemon in a team will give you more damage output for the boss fight at the end!

Tips to Defeat Latios
Primarily Use Dark Moves
A great strategy is to spam Dark Moves such as Bite as it is super effective against this Pokemon. Furthermore, it also has the chance to make Latios flinch, allowing you to get more free hits!
Aim to Apply Status Conditions
Aside from constantly making him flinch, you can also opt to try applying status effects such as Paralysis or Frozen. This will help buy you even more time to get more hits in on the Pokemon!
Use the Surround Wand To Encircle the Enemy
Ensure that you lay the beatdown on the enemy by using the Surround Wand! Waving this item will surround Latios with your whole team, making sure that all of your teammates get to deal damage and quickly bring down Latios!

Recruit Latios and Latias at End of Quest Line
Complete all 3 Dungeons under the Quest Line and you'll recruit Latios and Latias at the end of it. This is a guaranteed recruitment!
