Poison Sting Weedle

The numerous Weedles that you can encounter in Silent Chasm can use Poison Sting, inducing the Poison status effect. Poisoned Pokemon take damage over time, making battles more difficult especially if you are outnumbered. You can either pass the time or use a Pecha Berry to cure Poison.

4~6: Climbing Mt. Thunder

Recruit Electrikes

Recruit Electrikes

During your ascension to the summit of Mt. Thunder, you will encounter numerous Electrikes prowling the area. You can recruit some of them for the battle against the boss as their Lightning Rod ability cancels out Electric damage.

Access Items Via The Kangaskhan Statue

Kangaskhan Statue

Once you reach 11F, you can take a break & also access the Kangaskhan Statue placed at the upper right corner of the area. You can use the statue to offload unnecessary items and to replenish your supplies.

Boss Fight: Zapdos - Walkthrough & Tips

Zapdos Boss Fight
TypeElectric, Flying
WeaknessesGround, Rock, Ice
OthersPressure
MovesThunder Shock, Sky Attack

Sky Attack Can Hit Multiple Allies

Sky Attack can hit multiple allies

Zapdos can use Sky Attack, dealing significant damage to multiple Pokemon as it can hit two columns at the same time. The move takes a turn to charge up so you may still have time to rearrange your team. Remember not to stack your allies in one line!

Zapdos Pressure Drains PP

Zapdos' passive, "Pressure", can cause your Pokemon to consumer more PP than normal. Consider bringing more Pokemon to the fight to curtail its effects.

Electrike Can Absorb Thunder Shock

Electrike Can Absorb Thunder Shock

Bringing an Electrike along the fight can help you win the battle as it cancels out Zapdos' Thunder Shock. With Electrike's Lightning Rod ability, Zapdos' Thundershock does not cause any damage and instead buffs Electrike's Sp. Atk.
