To unlock evolution, you need to complete the main story of the game first. After the ending and credits, you'll head to Whiscash Pond to trigger the cutscene & unlock the Luminous Cave.

Head down the hole and into Luminous Cave. Choose from your list of available Pokemon to evolve them!

In order to evolve Pokemon, they'll need to be at a certain level. Check the card on the right to know which level the Pokemon needs to be in order to evolve.

Some Pokemon may need Evolution Crystals for them to evolve, even if they've already met the specific level requirement. Evolution Crystals can be found randomly in harder dungeons in the game.

Evolution Increases Pokemon's Stats

When you evolve a Pokemon, their base stats will receive a boost and increase. They will retain their abilities, though.

Full Evolution Needed For Mega Evolution

In order for you to Mega Evolve a Pokemon, they need to be in their full evolution or the farthest evolution they can go. Some Pokemon don't have any evolutions but are eligible for Mega Evolution.

Evolution Can Have Negative Effects

Starter & Partner Pokemon Loses Its Team Scarf

Pokemon Loses Its Team Scarf

When you evolve your starter or partner Pokemon, you'll lose your team scarf. There are no negative side effects in battle but the Pokemon will walk around without the team scarf in-game.

Lose Unique Face Icons In Conversation

When you have conversations as an evolved Pokemon, your starter or partner Pokemon will no longer have the unique face icons.

How To Mega Evolve Pokemon

Feed Pokemon Empowerment Seed

Feed Pokemon Empowerment Seed

Pokemon that are eligible to Mega Evolve will do so when fed an Empowerment Seed. They will also have increased stats and will ignore type match weaknesses.
