Tape - Boss Guide
The Shifty Sticker
Tape is the fourth stationery boss you encounter in the game and is found in the Sea Tower. It has two main phases, one where it's contained in its case, and another where it runs wild. It is the final boss of the Purple Streamer section.

You'll have 60 seconds to act per turn. Each turn you'll be able to move your ring 3 times, so you'll have to choose your rotations wisely. As outlined above, the boss has 2 phases, with the second being a lot harder.
Tape - How To Beat & Tips
Tape Overall Tips
- Hit its body with the hammer once on all sides in phase 1
- In phase 2, don't use regular weapons, use 1000 Fold Arms
- Summon Fire Vellumental to burn up all tape on the field
- You can't grab it while it's spinning
- Pay Toads to heal if your health is low
Break Down The Tape Dispenser Case
In the first phase of the fight, just focus on hitting Tape with the hammer on all 4 sides! Doing so will break its case and trigger phase 2.
Can't Grab While Spinning
Sometimes, Tape will wind itself up and spin rapidly in place. Do not attempt to use the 1000-Fold arms at this point, as they won't work. Instead, use the Fire Vellumental summon.
Burn Up Tape
When the boss lays down a whole bunch of tape on the field, you'll want to step on a Fire Vellumental tile and use the summon to burn up all the tape on the board!
Recovers Health From Tape
If you don't burn up all the tape on the field, the boss will use to restore some of its health, so be careful.

About Ring Boards
We are currently unsure what parts of the board will remain the same and what parts will change when different players attempt the same boss. There is a chance rings the rings you get may have slightly different tiles. Subsequent rings will also likely have different layouts depending on your previous moves!
Turn 1 Ring
For the first phase, just focus on getting regular attack tiles and hitting all 4 sides of Tape.
Phase 2 Ring
Phase 2 will be a bit more complicated - avoid stepping on tape on the ground whenever possible.
