Red Streamer Walkthrough - Explanation
The 1st Of 5 Streamers
The primary story of Origami King centers around 5 main streamers. Each of these constitutes 1 part of the game. This guide will take you from the beginning of the chapter to the end, going through each zone sequentially. If you want to find exact Toad Locations, we have separate articles for each zone where you can find them!

Peach's Castle Walkthrough Procedure Chart

| 2 | Proceed to the next room and talk to Princess Peach |

| 5 | Go to the right of the room to get the Hammer |
| 6 | Smash the boxes & leave through the right crack on the wall |

2. Talk To Princess Peach - Tips
Consequences Of Questions
Princess Peach will ask you three yes or no questions. These questions won't have any impact on the game's story, so just choose whatever answer you think is the most fun!
3. Touch The Magic Circle - Tips
Learn 1,000-Fold Arms
When you regain control in the dungeon, you'll find a Magic Circle on the floor. Approach it to do the 1,000-Fold Arms move which you'll need to help rescue Olivia.
5. Get The Hammer - Tips
Head To Right Of Dungeon Cell
Before leaving the area, make sure to head to the right side of the room to find the Hammer. You can use it to smash through boxes and other things to get items.

Hit The Save Block To Save Game
You'll encounter rainbow-colored blocks with an "S" on them. Hit them to save your game so you won't lose any progress.
11. Wave Battle - Tips
Line Up 4 Goombas To Win
In your first wave battle, you'll need to line up the 4 Goombas to defeat them. You'll do more damage if you line more enemies up together. The battle is timed so make sure to complete your moves fast.

In the Last Wave, you'll fight 2x2 Shy Guy Folded Soldiers. Line them up then use your Hammer to deal damage in a shorter, but wider range.

Whispering Woods Walkthrough Procedure Chart

| 4 | Proceed forward, grab the Mushroom from the block, & keep going right |
| 5 | Keep going until you reach trees with vines - pull them to release the hanging log |
| 6 | Go up the log & head north through the foggy exit |
| 7 | Keep trying to enter & exit the area with the tree stump until you trigger the cutscene |
| 8 | Exit to the left and hit the tree with the golden ball hanging from it |
| 9 | Use 1,000 Fold Arms to break open the ball then grab the Shriveled Seed |
| 10 | Go back to Grandsappy - exit towards the right into the pond area |
| 11 | Throw the seed into the Pond to restore it then go back to Grandsappy |
| 12 | Restore him by throwing confetti then give him the Soul Seed to open the path |
| 13 | Proceed through the campsite area into Toad Town |
5. Pull Vines - Tips
1 Vine Unlocks Matching Mini-Game
One vine in this area will unlock a matching mini-game. If you complete the mini-game, you'll get a Star Power-Up, allowing you to cross spikes and get the Collectible Treasure in the chest.

Interact With Pond To Restore Items
In the area with the pond, you can interact with it, throwing items into the water to restore them. This can be done with Faded Fire Flowers and even Withered Mushrooms!
13. Campsite Area - Tips
Search & Rescue Toads
In this part of the game, you'll be introduced to finding and rescuing Toads. They can be found almost everywhere. They provide help in Wave Battles so keep an eye out for them wherever you go.

You can't enter the log house until you've proceed further through the story. Once you've reached the area called The Great Sea, you'll be able to activate an event by using an item called the Big Shell. This will let you enter this log cabin. Read the guide below to learn more.

Toad Town Walkthrough Procedure Chart

2. Fight Paper-Mache Goomba - Tips
Hit King Olly Seals
To deal big damage to the paper-mache Goombas, you need to locate the King Olly seal on its body. Hitting the seal will deal damage to it and make it more vulnerable.
9. How To Get The Manhole Hook
Once you've found a magic circle in the red brick building, you'll be able to enter an another room with a green cart. Hit the green cart with your hammer to move it to your right. Use the cart as a step to climb up and get the Manhole Hook inside of the box to your left.

Graffiti Underground Walkthrough Procedure Chart

Turn Valve - Tips
Use 1,000-Fold Arms To Turn Valve
When you defeat the rats, you'll be able to use the 1,000-Fold Arms to turn the valve. Use the Switch buttons to grip the valve to turn it and de-flood your path to the pipe.
4. There Is A Path To Your Right
Before you enter the green pipe to exit, check the path to your right. There is a hidden Toad inside of the wooden box.

In order to find Luigi in Peach's Castle, first head to the colorful remains of the wall. Then, climb up from the left side and break the pot to get a Magic Circle. Use this Magic Circle to find Luigi hidden inside the wall.
Picnic Road - Walkthrough & Tips
Picnic Road Walkthrough Procedure Chart

1~3. Explore Picnic Road - Tips
Rescue Shop Owner Toad
Just after you've arrived to Picnic Road, there will be a tower with a Goomba on top. Use the hammer to bring the Goomba down and defeat it to get a magic circle. Then, use the 1000 Fold Arms to solve the puzzle and rescue a Toad. Help him return to the town by removing the King Olly seal on the bridge. This Toad unlocks the item shop in Toad Town so don't forget to rescue him!
Rescue Battle Lab Toad
By hitting the dog which is blocking your path toward Overlook Mountain, the Battle Lab in Toad Town unlocks. You can practice your battle skills here, as well as try to get 2 special Trophies. Read the guide below to learn more.

2. Purchase Green Shell Stone - Tips
Shell Stone Price Goes Down To 300 Coins
The mole will initially sell you the Shell Stone for 10,000 Coins. If you refuse to buy it, he'll give you a discount until it's down to 300 coins. Buy it then or he'll sell it to the Koopas who will then sell it to you for a fixed 1500 Coins.
4. How To Get Yellow Shell Stone - Tips
Strike the moving bush with your hammer to battle with a Goomba. Defeat it and activate the magic circle to find a hidden Dry Bones holding the Yellow Shell Stone.
5. How To Get Blue Shell Stone - Tips
In order to get the Blue Shell Stone, you need to fish up a folded Cheep Cheep and win the battle. To fish up this Cheep Cheep, look for larger fish shadows in the water.
6. Spiked Fence Area - Tips
Move Down Fast To Avoid Damage
When you reach the end of the spiked fence area, big spiked walls will drop down, looking to damage you. Immediately turn tail and run back down to avoid getting KO-ed.
9. How To Get Red Shell Stone - Tips
Giant Shy Guys are playing soccer with the Red Shell Stone. Knock down the Shy Guys with a hammer to intercept a pass and get the Stone from them.
Earth Vellumental Temple - Walkthrough & Tips
Earth Vellumental Temple Walkthrough Procedure Chart

| 1 | Move forward into the temple until you reach a wall with a turtle. Hit it till it falls down |
| 2 | Proceed through the cave until you can enter the mouth of the Vellumental Statue |
| 3 | Keep going forward until Mario drops into the pit |

| 5 | After the fight, use the Magic Circle to turn Olivia into the Earth Vellumental |

2. Proceed Through Cave - Tips
Get Shiny Boots & Shiny Hammer From Blocks
Make sure to hit all the blocks that you encounter. In this part of the cave, you'll be able to get a pair of Shiny Boots and a Shiny Hammer for combat.
Entrance At The Side Of Wooden Pillar
As you progress, you will see a number of wooden pillars that try to push you off of the path. After passing through, you'll reach a dead end. To progress further from there, you'll need to enter a hole in the side of the second to last wooden pillar.
Time Passing By Fire
It's best to time your movements especially in the area where there is fire. Since Paper Mario is made of paper, you'll want to avoid fire at all costs.
Fit Yourself Into The Open Spaces Of The Rolling Stone
In order not to get smashed by the rolling stone, you need to fit yourself in its openings! After finish this section, you will get your first Max UP Heart, which increases your maximum HP.
4. Origami Earth Vellumental - Tips
Boss Is In Center Of Ring
In this fight, the boss will be in the center of the ring, not Paper Mario. Move the rings so that the arrows align towards the attack spot to deal damage on the Origami Earth Vellumental.

Overlook Tower Walkthrough Procedure Chart

1. Location Of The Overlook Tower
Overlook Tower is located at the peak of Overlook Mountain, which you no doubt saw when you first entered the zone. Use the Earth Vellumental's magic circle to break down the dirt mound and enter this tower.
6. Clear The Kitchen Of Goombas - Tips
Open Kitchen Fridge To Release Goombas
When you reach the 2nd floor, you'll find a restaurant and a kitchen to the right of the floor. Open the fridge to release a swarm of Goombas - you'll need to defeat all 15 Goombas so the head chef can give you confetti to repair the stairs.

Activate Magic Circle With On Button
Like the fight with the Origami Earth Vellumental, the Colored Pencils will be in the center of the arena. You need to guide Paper Mario towards the "On" button to switch on the Magic Circle.

Align Arrows To Attack Spot
The fight will have you move rings once again but this time you'll have to move arrows so you can get to the center of the arena. Move rings to align arrows to the attack spot.
Focus Attacks On Legs
The Origami Earth Vellumental has a hard shell and its body is well-protected. Focus damage on its 4 legs to bring it down and open it up for other attack spots.
After Legs, Hit The Head
Once you've taken out the 4 legs of the Origami Earth Vellumental, you'll be able to attack its head. In your next turn, align arrows so you can hit the head. This will cause the Earth Vellumental to hide in its shell.
Flip & Hit With 1,000-Fold Arms
Once you've dealt damage to its head and tail, align arrows so you'll reach the Magic Circle. Use the 1,000-Fold Arms move to flip the boss & hit it til it's HP bar is decimated.

Colored Pencils - Phase 1
Step On Button To Switch On Magic Circle
When you encounter the Colored Pencils boss, the Magic Circles will not be turned on. Move the rings & Paper Mario accordingly so he'll step on the button to turn on the Magic Switch.
Check Out How To Beat Colored Pencils Boss!Avoid Panels With Targets
Panels with targets will cause colored pencils to drop on whoever is standing on them. Make sure to keep Paper Mario away from these panels to keep from taking damage.
Use 1,000-Fold Arms Or Hammer Behind Case
Move Paper Mario so he's behind the Colored Pencils & use the 1,000-Fold Arms move to shut the case down. You can also use the hammer to shut close the case!
Closed Case Causes Missiles To Explode
When the case is closed, the missiles inside will explode, causing the boss to get stunned and you'll be free to deal big damage to it on the next turn.
Colored Pencils - Phase 2
Changes Weapon During Phase 2
The Colored Pencils will shift its type of weapon from missiles to a Gattling Gun during the 2nd phase of the fight. This will start when you bring it down to around 40% health.
Use 1000-Fold Arms To The Side Of The Case
Attacking the Colored Pencils from the back with the 1000-Fold Arms will not work anymore. Aim to attack it with that move to its side so Mario can grab his pencils and finish it off with a big attack!
