Gooper Blooper Battle Overview
The inky menace Gooper Blooper returns, getting in Mario's way while he's traveling on The Princess Peach ship. This is a part of the Yellow Streamer section of the game.
Real Time Action Battle
Gooper Blooper, unlike bosses that came before it, is a real-time battle. This means you'll have to actively jump over attacks and attack with your hammer in real time to deal damage to it. There is no ring grid to be found here!

Gooper Blooper Overall Tips
- Avoid ink on the ground
- Phase 1, hit tentacles after they slam down
- Phase 2, dodge waves
- Attack its face after it gets dizzy
Ink Will Slow You Down
Deal enough damage to its tentacles and the Gooper Blooper will start spitting out ink! Be careful maneuvering around because the ink slows you down, making you an easier target for its tentacles.
Destroy All Tentacles To Start Phase 2
Once you've taken care of its tentacles, the Gooper Blooper will get on the ship. Hit the seal found on its eye first to be able to deal damage against it.
Jump To Escape Waves
The Gooper Blooper will create new types of waves that are trickier to escape. This time, since they're horizontal, just jumping won't work. You'll need to jump diagonally to successfully dodge them.
Attack When It Is Dizzy
After doing the above wave attack a few times, Gooper Blooper will do a spin attack, causing it to become dizzy and unable to attack. Use this chance to rush to it and attack it with your hammer!
