On The Ground
You can find Not-Bottomless Holes on the ground. Be careful when approaching them, as you risk falling in! The damage you take isn't massive, but it could knock you out if you happen to be on low health.
On The Walls
Holes found in the walls are somewhat safer to fill in than their floor-bound counterparts - you won't be falling in them anytime soon (unless they just so happen to be connected to the floor.)
More Visible Than Other Collectibles
Since these holes stand out against the colorful environment, they are much easier to find compared to other collectibles, such as Toads and Trophies. However, you might need to go out of your way to reach some of them.
