Nydia's Character Overview

Unique Seeker with a Bow

Nydia's equippable Weapon type are "Bows", making her a unique Seeker who primarily fights using Channel Skills and Basic Attacks. Her movement range is 3, which is lower compared to other Seekers' 5, but by increasing her Star Level, the Range of her main Basic Attack can reach a maximum of 5, affording her the same reach as typical Seekers without the need to position dangerously.

New Channel/Channeling Keyword

A "Channel" Skill is a Skill that, when used, consumes a specified amount of NRG at the start of each turn in exchange for activating a powerful passive effect. The effect ends if you don't have enough NRG or if you use the Skill again. Channel skills remain active indefinitely as long as you can upkeep your NRG, making NRG recovery crucial.

Powerful AoE Attacks

Nydia applies [Black Feather] to surrounding enemies with her Trait and Skills, and by performing a Basic Attack on an enemy with the debuff, the AoE attack [Thousand Black Feathers] is triggered. The damage dealt decreases with consecutive uses, but it can hit the same enemy up to 4 times, so by applying Black Feather to multiple enemies and triggering them all simultaneously, you can deal massive damage to clustered groups of enemies.

Combine Skills for Maximum Damage

Nydia is at her deadliest when you combine her skills to enhance their effects. For example, you can enhance [Thousand Black Feathers] by Channeling [Cloud of Black Feathers]. You can also increase the number of Basic Attacks with the [Channel] Skill [Rain of Arrows] or the [Instant] Skill [Death Sentence]. This allows you to hit scores of enemies with [Thousand Black Feathers] to trigger multiple instances, making it possible to efficiently deal damage to groups of enemies.

A Damage Over Time Build is Also Viable

Building Nydia for applying "Frostbite" is also viable. She can apply a maximum of 3–4 stacks of [Frostbite] in one turn, allowing her to consistently deal high damage even to enemies with high defense. Remember to adjust your build depending on the stage and the characters you pair her with.

Focus on Increasing her ATK

Since Frostbite deals damage equal to 50% of the combined P.ATK and M.ATK stats, increase them both while prioritizing P.ATK for Gear and Engravings.

NRG Recovery is Crucial

Nydia can deal extremely high AoE damage under the right conditions, making it crucial to secure a means of NRG Recovery for her [Channel] Skills.
