Damage Tint And Its Usage
Health Damage Indicator
Damage Tint mod is a simple mod that adds a red tint to your view when you reach a certain health threshold. It can be used in combination with other mods and is also compatible with both Forge and Fabric.
Adjustable Indicator Threshold
You can adjust the damage threshold by simply inputting a number of commands using the console. You can either set it to appear with less HP than the default value.
Damage Tint Console Commands
Access The Console First
To adjust or change the settings of Damage Tint, you must first access the console. You can do this by pressing "T" on your keyboard.
Console Commands
Command | Effect |
---|---|
/tint | Displays the current damage threshold when the red tint will appear |
/tint reset | Resets the damage tint's value to the default 20 |
/tint @ | Replace the @ with anything from 0-20 to set the HP (Hearts) value needed to cause the red tint to appear |
/tint dynamic @ | Dynamically changes the values of the damage tint. Replace @ with either true to activate or false to deactivate |

v1.1.0 of Damage Tint is here and it focuses on mod compatibility and some design improvements!
- Added /tint dynamic: Updates your health threshold dynamically to the max health value. (Should work with other mods that change max health)
- Dynamic threshold is true by default.
- /tint reset now resets all the configs to default. (Including dynamic to true)
- /tint is longer restricted to value between 0 and 20! Should allow to change values for modded scenarios.
- Changed several command feedback messages.
- TintConfig now autonomously handles some config errors.

How To Install Damage Tint

Steps To Install
1 | Download Forge 1.17 >> Forge download page |

2 | Download Damage Tint on CurseForge. Select the latest version >> Download from CurseForge |
3 | Run the Forge Java file *there is no need to change the install directory if you used the default directory to install Minecraft |
4 | Transfer the mod .jar files to your Minecraft's mod folder >> Know how to access it here |
5 | Run "Minecraft Launcher" |
6 | Select the Forge version that you want to play on. In this case, select "Forge 1.17" |
7 | Press "Play" to run Minecraft with the mods |
Does Not Require Other Mods
You do not need to install any other mods for you to be able to run this mod. Download the required Forge version and just place it together with the Damage Tint mod inside your mod folder and you're good to go!
Usable With Fabric
You can also use the Damage Tint mod with the Fabric mod loader. The process is the same as Forge and you only need to add the mod pack to the designated folder to run it.
