Xray Ultimate is a texture pack that practically allows you to see through blocks. Not only that but it also highlights valuables ores for you to mine. As it is a texture pack, you can simply have it loaded with either vanilla or modded Minecraft, making it easy to turn on and off.

As the ground is transparent, you may have trouble determining space when you dig down. This can be incredibly dangerous if you're playing on Survival mode. Make sure to turn it on or off when you have trouble seeing through the blocks.
Better With Optifine
You can also make use of Optifine to clearly see through the dark with this mod. Without Optifine, the ores are darker and are harder to see. If you are mining for specific ores, best use the Xray Ultimate with Optifine.

If you're out ore hunting, get another texture pack called Visible Ores to easily see ore blocks. Visible Ores modifies ore blocks to glow more brighter than their surroundings, making the ores easier to see. Note that you need to place the Visible Ores above Xray Ultimate in the resource pack menu.

Steps To Install Xray Ultimate
| 1 | Download the texture pack from Forge. Choose and download the latest version. >> Download Xray Ultimate here |

| 2 | Move the downloaded texture pack to Minecraft's "resoursepacks" folder |
| 3 | Run Minecraft |
| 4 | While playing, go to "Options..." and select "Resource Packs..." |
| 5 | Select the Texture Pack that you want to apply *You can also use this menu to remove applied Texture or Resource packs |
| 6 | Select "Done" and wait for the game to reload |
