Changes with the Exploration in Season 4
Exploration Changed to Stage Selection

From Season 4, you can now choose the stage you want to explore. When exploring with each Body Rank, you can select a stage to play from up to four options.
| Tier | Selectable Stages | |||
| Tier 1 (Body Rank 1) | Mountain's Edge | Mountain's Heart | Iron Peak | |
| Tier 2 (Body Rank 2) | Remnant City | Spire District | 石棺塔 | |
| Tier 3 (Body Rank 3) | Ocean's Reach | Raging Tide | Grand Malestorm (*) | 地海洲城 |
| Tier 4 (Body Rank 4) | Glacial Sky | Endless Frost | Avalanche Valley | 寒苦高山 |
| Tier 5 (Body Rank 5) | Flaming Fields | Furnace Grounds | Great Scorch | 火生三昧 |
| Tier 6 (Body Rank 6) | Death's Passage | 骨肉林 | 生死流転 | |
* "Iron Peak" is unlocked after clearing "Skeletal Grove", while "Grand Malestorm" is unlocked when the total donations to the Raiders Fund reach 50 million Kill Coins.
You Can Only Select the Same Tier as Your Body Rank

During Exploration, you can only select stages from the same tier as your Body Rank. For example, with Body Rank 2, you cannot select stages from Tier 1 or Tier 3 and above; you must choose a stage from Tier 2. If you want to play on a different stage, you should explore after a Body Rank reset.
Resets After Clearing Body Rank 6

Just like in Season 3, your Body Rank increases by one each time you survive a stage. Surviving at Body Rank 6 counts as a full clear and your Body Rank will be reset. The rule that your Body Rank also resets upon death remains unchanged.
How to Progress Through Stages
Connections Between Stages

The stage you have cleared determines which stages you can choose next. Please see below for the connections between stages.
Higher Difficulty in Higher Stages

Stages displayed on the right side of the selection screen tend to be more difficult. While you don't have a full set of equipment yet, it's easier to clear the stages on the left.
Boss and Max SPLithium Changes by Stage

The boss that appears and the maximum amount of SPLithium you can hold are determined for each stage. The lower the tier, and the further to the right a stage is on the selection screen, the stronger the bosses tend to be and the greater the maximum SPLithium you can hold.
Notes for Clearing the Stages
How to Identify Cleared Stages

For stages you have survived before, the maximum SPLithium you obtained will be displayed on the stage selection screen. Use this when you want to play a stage you haven't cleared yet, or when you want to set a new record for maximum SPLithium.
Check the "Caution" Section

The "Notice" section on the stage selection screen shows information such as the increase or decrease of Yummies, the amount and tendency of Yuckies that will appear, and whether or not NPC Raiders will be present. This greatly affects the difficulty of Exploration, so be sure to check it when selecting a stage.
