How to Beat Bloodwheelers & Nocent Bloodwheelers
Sidestep the Charge, Then Attack
When it faces you head-on and revs its engine, it signals an incoming charge attack. Dodge left or right to evade. After the charge, the enemy pauses briefly, creating an opening to attack. While you can Guard the charge, doing so causes knockback, preventing a Counterattack.
Charge Audio Cues Vary
The audio cue for a charge varies by enemy type. Bloodwheeler enemies emit an engine rev, Palewheelers produce a police siren–like sound, and Mobwheelers signal their charge with a horn melody.
Lure Them into a Bomb Tank
If a Wheeler-type enemy’s charge collides with a Bomb Tank, the tank will explode and destroy the enemy’s Exoskeleton. When a Bomb Tank is nearby, it’s worth luring the charge toward it for an efficient takedown.
Spin Attack Creates an Opening
When a Wheeler-type enemy leans its body to the left, it signals an incoming spin attack. Be cautious, as its tentacle-like arms also have active hitboxes. This attack is easy to Counterattack, so it’s recommended to Guard when you see the tell, then retaliate with a Counterattack.
How to Beat Palewheelers & Nocent Palewheelers
Sharp Turn Signals a Charge
When a Wheeler-type enemy makes a sharp turn accompanied by a braking sound, it will immediately follow up with a Turning Charge. Approaching carelessly can cause your attack to miss, allowing the enemy to evade and counter with the charge. Against Palewheelers, it’s safer to evade the standard charge first, then attack.
Charge Creates a Judgment Trail
After a Turning Charge, the enemy leaves behind a blue, lightning-like trail. Touching this trail will build up the Judgment status effect, so avoid contact.
How to Defeat Mobwheelers
Non-Glowing Charge Is a Feint
You can distinguish the two by its body glow: a red glow indicates a charge, while no red glow signals a feint.
All Charge Attacks Cannot be Guarded
All Mobwheeler attacks, including Charge, Turning Charge, and Feint Charge, have the Guard Break property. Guarding these attacks leaves you highly vulnerable, so it’s recommended to evade using a Dodge instead.
All Charges Leave Judgment Trails
For all Mobwheeler attacks: Charge, Turning Charge, and Feint Charge, a Judgment-attribute trail is left along the charge path. Exercise caution after each charge.
