List of Dream Types
Dream Type Features and Strategies
| Type | Location | Main Attacks Used |
DreamcraverNocent Dreamcraver | Demon Gate Labyrinth | - Normal Attack - Guard Breaks - Deathblow - Humanoid Summon - Counterattack |
Dreamrager | River of Souls | - Normal Attack - Guard Breaks - Counterattack |
Like Humanoids, Dream Types use weapons for both attacks and guards. Once they spot a Raider, they will relentlessly pursue them. They usually move on foot, but will begin running when their health is low, so decide quickly whether to fight or flee when you encounter one.
How to Beat Dreamcravers/Nocent Dreamcravers
Use a Ranged Deathblow
Carelessly using melee attacks against Dream Types can cause them to guard and retaliate with a Counterattack. To avoid this, it's safer to use long-range Deathblows, such as those from the Wheel Blade or Hammer.
Break Their Guard with Guard Breaks
Dream Types frequently use Guards, making Guard Breaks highly effective. Landing a hit while they are guarding can shatter their Exoskeleton in a single strike, creating a clear opening to attack.
Use Fireworks Shooter When Creating Distance
Since Dreamcravers will relentlessly pursue the Raider, you can deal damage safely by firing the Fireworks Shooter's Normal Attacks while running away.
The "Judgment Bonus" Core is also effective
With the Judgment Bonus Core, you can safely inflict Judgment on Dream Types by pairing it with the Fireworks Shooter. Once Judgment is triggered, their Exoskeleton is destroyed, creating a clear opening to attack.
Beware of Ranged Guard Breaks
Dreamcravers use Guard Break attack pattern 2, slashing while backstepping and firing a projectile, and pattern 6, which launches a long-range projectile. Pattern 6 has especially long range, so stay alert and evade to the sides when it’s fired.
Move Sideways To Evade Their Deathblows
Dreamcravers use the Corrupted Fang’s Deathblow. After a brief green circle appears, they raise their left hand high, this signals the incoming Deathblow. The attack has long range, so evade sideways, then counterattack.
They Summon Humanoids
Dreamcravers can also summon Humanoids. These Humanoids only use bare-handed Normal Attacks, so block with a Guard and defeat them with a Counterattack. If you have a Core that restores Health on Counterattack hits, this is also a good opportunity to recover HP.
Pit Dreamcravers Against Yotsuyama

In the second area of the Demon Gate Labyrinth, a Yotsuyama can be found near the center of the large, fixed structure. If a Dreamcraver gets close, the two may start fighting each other. When being pursued by a Dreamcraver, try luring it there, then either flee while they’re distracted or attack from behind to finish them off.
How to Defeat Dreamragers
Use a Ranged Deathblow
Dreamragers wield a longsword-like weapon that delivers powerful melee attacks. The River of Souls is filled with narrow passages, making close-quarters combat especially dangerous. Engage them from a distance using the Wheel Blade or Hammer Deathblow before they can close the gap.
Dodge Guard Breaks by Keeping Your Distance
After a brief charge where they raise both weapons, their body will glow red, which signals a wide-sweeping Guard Break. To handle it safely, create distance first, then counterattack with the Wheel Blade or Hammer Deathblow.
Escape the 4-hit Slash After the 3rd Hit
After swinging the weapon in their right hand, they follow up with a four-hit spinning cleave. There is a brief opening between the third and fourth hits, so if you're caught in the combo, evade after the third hit to escape.
Dreamragers Can Open Doors
Once Dream Types spot you, they will relentlessly pursue you and even open doors you’ve closed to continue the chase. You cannot escape Dreamragers by using doors, so when retreating, your top priority is to create as much distance as possible.
