Tormented Toll Spawn Location
Spawns in Demon Gate Labyrinth

The Tormented Toll appears in the Demon Gate Labyrinth. In Area 1, it is located in front of the Judgment Gates, while in Area 2, it can be found near the Flesh Door at the center structure. Additionally, an elite enemy, the Mad Nocent Tormented Toll, may appear.
Defeat Tormented Toll to Proceed

At Body Rank 4-5, you must pass through a Judgment Gate guarded by either a Tormented Toll or two Mad Humanoids. Since the Tormented Toll is weaker, it is recommended to prioritize breaking through the gate it guards.
Skip Mad Nocent Tormented Toll in Area 2

The Mad Nocent Tormented Toll in Area 2 of the Demon Gate Labyrinth is extremely durable and time-consuming to defeat. It is recommended to ignore it and proceed. If you choose to engage, attempt it at Body Rank 5 with a Legendary rarity weapon.
Ignore Doomed Toll in River of Souls

In the River of Souls, a Doomed Toll may rarely appear, but its mechanics and countermeasures are the same as those of the Tormented Toll. Since it is highly durable, it is recommended to ignore it and proceed, just like the Mad Nocent Tormented Toll.
Tormented Toll Strategy
- Tormented Toll Staggers When Hit with a Deathblow
- Breaking Exoskeleton Creates an Opening
- Fill Rage Gauge Before the Fight
Tormented Toll Staggers When Hit with a Deathblow
The Tormented Toll will stagger for about 3 seconds when hit with a Deathblow. Hit it with a Deathblow right at the start of the fight, then follow up with Normal Attacks while it's staggered.
Breaking its Exoskeleton Creates an Opening
Use a continuous assault like Deathblow → Normal Attack combo twice → Deathblow to destroy its Exoskeleton. After it breaks, it will stagger for about 5 seconds, so use Normal Attacks to build up your Rage Gauge. Once the Exoskeleton recovers, repeat the process starting with the first Deathblow.
Efficiently Destroy the Exoskeleton
An Epic Rarity Bat, Katana, Wheel Blade, Fireworks Shooter, Hammer, Odachi, Greatsword, Evil Rod, or Rammer (if all hits connect) can destroy the Tormented Toll's Exoskeleton in a single Deathblow. The Magnetic Staff dealt about half the damage needed.
Fill Your Rage Gauge Before the Fight

If your Rage Gauge isn't full, move away and defeat and eat Flyoli, or use items like Rage Shot or Timothy's Skill. The Tormented Toll won't move far from the Judgment Gates, so you can safely build your Rage Gauge by keeping your distance.

Acquire Rage Gauge +1 from Cores or Mastery

In the Tormented Toll fight, being able to use many Deathblows will give you an advantage. Before you challenge it, make sure to acquire at least Rage Gauge +1 from Cores or Mastery.
