Counterattacking is effective. Be cautious, enemies like the Pseudobear and stronger variants can use Guard Break attacks.

Most Non-Pseudocean Enemies Spawn in Pairs

With the exception of the Pseudocean, these enemies often appear in pairs. If one detects you, both will attack simultaneously, so be cautious when attempting a preemptive strike. Attacking from a distance or quickly focusing down one enemy is the safest approach.

How to Beat Pseudocean & Nocent Pseudocean

Evade or Counterattack its Jump Attack

The Pseudocean's primary attack is a Jump Attack. You can avoid it by dodging sideways, or Guard the attack and follow up with a Counterattack. Be aware that this move is often used immediately after the Pseudocean performs a Backstep or side dodge.

How to Beat Pseudobear & Nocent Pseudobear

Counter the Spin Attack After it Charges

When the enemy twists its body left as if preparing to charge, it signals a spin attack. Block the glowing blue attack with Guard, then follow up with a Counterattack for maximum safety and damage.

For Red Glow, Evade or Strike Immediately

When the Pseudobear glows red with lightning on its antennae, it's preparing a Jump Guard Break. Dodge sideways or backward, or interrupt it with a Normal Attack if close.

Two-Pseudobear, Dodge Sideways & Strike

If one Pseudobear climbs on top of another, they immediately perform a Combined Guard Break Attack. Both enemies unleash consecutive Guard Breaks with long range, so stay alert. Evade sideways and counterattack once the move passes.

How to Defeat Pseudofowl

Attack Types Similar to Pseudobear

The Pseudofowl's attacks closely mirror the Pseudobear's. Counter its Jump and Spin Attacks, and evade its Guard Breaks.

Strike or Counter After Landing

The Pseudofowl is tricky to hit, often jumping behind you or dodging sideways and backward. To land attacks, strike after it lands or completes a dodge, or use a Counterattack for guaranteed hits.

Watch Health While Dodging Corruption

The Pseudofowl spreads green Corruption while dodging. Contact inflicts the Corruption status, dealing continuous damage. Keep an eye on your Health to avoid unexpected losses during battle.
