Dodge Count and Rage Gauge Upgrades Are Recommended
| Core | Effect |
| Dodge Count +1 | Recommendation: ★★★★★ - Increases the number of Dodges by 1. |
| Rage Gauge +1 | Recommendation: ★★★★★ - Increases the Rage Gauge by one bar. |
| Climb Special Areas | Recommendation: ★★★★ - Lets you climb high walls |
The best cores to get in the early game is 'Dodge Count +1,' which allows you to Dodge consecutively. Next, 'Rage Gauge +1,' which adds one bar to your Rage Gauge, and 'Climb Special Areas' are also recommended.
Dodge Count +1

This lets you perform two consecutive Dodges and makes it easier to evade enemy attacks, which makes it invaluable in battles against bosses like the Dreamseeker and Mironette. If you’ve already unlocked this via Mastery, get Rage Gauge +1 instead.
How to Dodge and Increase Dodge CountRage Gauge +1

Adds one Rage Gauge bar. Having two bars early on makes it easier to defeat enemies with Deathblows and greatly improves your survivability. Without it, you might struggle to defeat the Tormented Toll guarding the Judgment Gates in the Demon Gate Labyrinth.
How to Use & Replenish Rage GaugeClimb Special Areas

You will be able to climb locations with Springcaps. Many of these are shortcuts, and an Escape Pod may also appear in a location that is unreachable without climbing.

Health and Rage Gauge Recovery Are Better Choices
| Core | Effect |
| Recover health on Counterattack hit | Recommendation: ★★★★★ - Recovers Health when you land a Counterattack. |
| Recover health while crouching | Recommendation: ★★★★★ - Gradually recover Health by Crouching. |
| Guard Stamina Cost -100 | Recommendation: ★★★★★ - Do not consume Stamina when Guarding. |

The best Cores to get from the mid-game onwards are "Recover health while crouching" and "Rage Gauge Auto-Regen". As enemies get stronger, it's better to have more ways to recover Health, and a full Rage Gauge makes it easier to defeat enemies with Deathblows.
Recover Health on Counterattack Hit

Restores 200 HP whenever you land a counterattack. You can greatly recover your Health by attacking enemies that are easy to counterattack, such as Pseudo Type and Ripper Type enemies. Equipping 2 Cores with this effect restores 400 HP. This is a top-priority Core to obtain.
Recover Health While Crouching
Restores about 3 HP per second while crouching. When combined with Timothy's Skill and crouching in a safe place like bushes, you can recover a large amount of Health. This is a valuable means of recovery even for Bodies other than Timothy.
Effects and Uses of BushesGuard Stamina Cost -100
Removes stamina consumption while guarding. When paired with Recover Health on Counterattack Hit, it makes guarding easier, and you only have to watch out for Guard Breaks.
How to Guard and CounterattackRage Gauge Auto-Regen

The Rage Gauge regenerates automatically over time (~1 minute per full gauge). Equipping two of these Cores doubles the regeneration rate, making it highly valuable for timed battles and sustained combat.
Recover Health by Defeating Enemies
Restores 50 HP for each enemy defeated. Bodies other than Timothy lack reliable recovery methods, making this Core a critical priority.
How to Restore Health (HP)Cheat Death Once per Exploration with 1 HP

Allows you to survive a fatal blow, leaving you with 1 HP once per run. While it's useful in emergencies, it's something you shouldn't rely on since enemies may just finish you off immediately afterward.
