The Axe is a weapon built around powerful normal attacks. Its Deathblow enhances those normal strikes and allows you to overwhelm enemies if you're able to break their defenses.

How to Use the Axe
The Axe's Normal Attack can be executed while moving forward. Its Deathblow does not deal direct damage, so the most effective way is to use it after breaking an enemy's Exoskeleton and activating it while they are immobilized.
Axe's Normal Attack
This attack delivers two wide horizontal sweeps while stepping forward. If the first hit connects, the second is guaranteed to land. The forward step is slightly shorter than the Wheel Blade’s, so take note of your distance to a target to ensure that both hits connect.
Axe Deathblow
Activating the Deathblow puts the Axe into Heat Mode for about 10 seconds. During this time, normal attack damage is boosted by roughly 1.2–1.25x and your attack range is extended. Use it to overwhelm enemies once their defenses are broken.
Axe's Counterattack
Unleashes a downward swing Counterattack using the Axe.
