Can You Become A Dark / Evil Wizard?
Players Can Use Unforgivable Curses
In Hogwarts Legacy, players are able to use all three of the Unforgivable Curses: Avada Kedavra, Crucio, and Imperio. These are considered the most evil curses in the world of Harry Potter.

There Is No Penalty For Using It

There seems to be no penalty for using the Dark Arts or any of the Unforgivable Curses. There is even no reaction when it is used when with the Professors.
Can't Be Used On NPC
Avada Kedavra and other Unforgivable Curses will only be used on enemies and things that are defeat-able, and will not work on other things. Due to this it will not work inside Hogwarts or on comrades or NPCs.
Possible Route Difference During Dialogues
In the Sebastian Quests, you will be offered to learn the Unforgivable Curses. Depending on the answers that you choose, will either allow you to learn the curses or not. If you do not want to make the mistake in dialogue, check the articles before choosing.

Requirements For Dark Ending
A Condition For A Dark Wizard Ending
In Hogwarts Legacy, there are 2 types of endings. One of those endings is the Dark Wizard Ending. During the Main Quest, "The Final Repository", will occur before the battle of the Final Boss, choose the correct dialogue and you will end with the Dark Wizard ending.

Usage Of Unforgivable Curses Doesn't Matter
Even if you have not learned the Unforgivable Curses until the ending, you can still see the Dark Wizard Ending. The Dark Wizard Ending will just be for the Ending and for the main story.

The last dialogue before the Ending are listed before. The answers in red will lead you to the Dark Wizard.

Side Quest Options And Dark Ending
In some Side Quests, there are dialogue options that are snarly in personality. Asking for more money rewards, or not returning the product, but this will not change how the story will progress. You can role play as an Evil Dark Wizard, and choose the mean dialogues.

You can play the part of a Dark Wizard by wearing Dark Arts-themed Gear. The Dark Arts Pack was available as a pre-order bonus for the Deluxe Edition of the game.
