Check for Clickers
There are clickers inside some of the houses in the area. There are just a few of them so they're not that much of a nuisance during your looting.

Secret Entrance Behind Bookcase
The radio can be found at the basement of the house. You'll need to push the bookshelf blocking it to get access to it.
