As its been confirmed via the Naughty Dog's official Twitter announcement that The Last Of Us Part 2 will not include a Multiplayer mode due to its heavy focus on narrative as a single player experience.

Multiplayer Spin Off Possibly Hinted?
Although no Multiplayer mode in The Last Of Us 2 has been confirmed, Naughty Dog team stated that they have taken account and notice of the Faction Multiplayer mode in the original TLOU, and are looking to introduce the feature in another way, possibly hinting to a stand-alone spin off of sorts.
