Melee Weapon List

Has Durability Gauge

All melee weapons have a durability gauge on them. After each use (swings), it reduces by 1. As it usually takes more than 2 swings to completely down an enemy, a weapon with at least 2 gauges remaining should be chosen.

Strengthen Melee Weapons With Skills

Certain skills like "Craft Melee Upgrades" will let you upgrade to a better melee weapon, with greater damage and durability. It also restores all durability gauge for that weapon, so it is a good choice to have if you like your melee weapon to last longer in combat.

Throwable Weapon List

Bottle	Found almost everywhere Throw to create distraction. Can also be used to stun enemies.
Brick	Found almost everywhere Throw to create distraction. Can also be used to stun enemies.
Molotov Cocktail	Can be crafted (Ellie only) Explodes on impact, and fire lingers in the area.
Trap Mine	Can be crafted (Ellie only). Recipe can be acquired in Hillcrest Deploys in place and detonates on enemy proximity.
Stun Bomb	Can be crafted (Ellie only). Recipe can be acquired inside Barko's Pet Shop in Downtown Stuns enemies in a small area on impact.
Pipe Bomb	Can be crafted (Abby only) Bounces on impact and explodes after a short delay. Crafts 2 bombs.

About Weapons In The Last of Us 2

4 Types Of Weapon Class Available

Weapons that are available in The Last Of Us 2 differs in 4 different variety. Long Guns and Pistols which are composed of conventional firearms and other ranged weapons. Melee Weapon, consisting of hatchets and blunt pipes, to Throwable Weapons including bricks and jury-rigged trap bombs.

Weapons Can Be Upgraded With Parts

Certain weapons in The Last Of Us 2 can be upgraded at the weapon bench found in certain safe houses. Upgrading your weapons can improve the capacity, stability, rate of fire and more. However, upgrading your weapons will require parts that are hidden within the game.

Upgrades Are Irreversible

Once you upgrade a weapon, the weapon stats will be permanently upgraded and you will not be able to revert it. Be sure to double check which upgrade you wish to invest your tools in first before attempting to craft the upgrade.
