High Fire-Rate Pistol
The Semi-Auto Pistol trumps the Revolver with its quick cycling rate, allowing you to fire continuously in a short span of time. If you're accurate with your shots, you can even score a number of clean kills with just a single magazine!
Can Use Suppressors
The Semi-Auto Pistol can make use of makeshift suppressors that can be crafted anytime. Note that they tend to break after repeated usage, so make sure to have extra materials in case you need a replacement!

Armored enemies are almost impervious to the Semi-Auto Pistol. Its weak penetrating power does little to no damage on durable enemies. Use the Pump Shotgun or explosives to take them out instead.

Ellie starts with both the Bolt-Action Rifle and the Semi-Auto Pistol. Go get Capacity first so you can quickly deal with the easy-to-kill runners and human foes. You can automatically get this upgrade if you pre-ordered the game.
Stability Or Recoil Next
Stability & Recoil both improves your chances of landing a hit by reducing sway during and after firing. Conserve ammo by landing quick and accurate shots.
Choose Fire Rate For Last
Fire Rate isn't something you should prioritize with the Semi-Auto Pistol. Although ammo is relatively abundant, you do not need to fire ludicrous amounts in a short period of time. If you're fighting hardy bosses, best rely on guns like the Pump Shotgun and the Bolt-Action Rifle.
