Inflicts Infection on Attack

This Weapon inflicts [Infection,] which deals damage over time, on single-target active attacks, and also increases damage dealt to enemies already inflicted with [Infection]. Since [Infection] deals percentage-based damage based on its stacks, it can consistently damage enemies with high DEF.

Team Composition and Characters Are Important

If this Weapon is the only element of your party that inflicts [Infection], it won't be as effective as running an infection-focused team. It's important to build a team that can inflict a lot of [Infection], or equip it on characters who excel at applying [Infection] stacks, like LilyWill.

Note the Restrictions on Inflicting Infection

Applying [Infection]s only activates once per turn and only from active attacks, so note that attacks like [Alert]s and [Strike Back]s, which are executed outside of the character's turn, do not apply more stacks of [Infection].
