Aetia Region - Map & Secret Areas
|1||Progress the Main Story until you get until the middle of Chapter 3|
└ Until Colony 4 Command where Ethel takes off

|3||Play through the "Going Beyond Power" Quest and master Scree Walking|
└ Allows you to Climb up the Quicksand Slope
|4||Follow the route in the image above|
|1||Progress until you get to the middle point of Chapter 7|
└ Until you reach Origin
|2||Follow the route in the picture above to get to the location|
Fornis Region - Map & Secret Areas
- Requires the use of Wall Climbing
You can reach this location by going northwest from Fornis and climbing up the cliffs. If you advance through the Main Story, you will be able to go there as soon as you learn how to Wall Climbing. There are high-level enemies on the way. You need to be around Lv 45 to get there.
The Blue Bluffs
You can get there without the need for Traversal Skills by going through the desert via the Great Idalla Ravine. You can get there from the beginning of the game.Traversal Skills - How To Unlock
The Serrato Spring is located in the Desert. You can also get here without the need for Traversal Skills. You can easily get here by just walking towards it.
- Requires the use of Wall Climbing
From the Lace Subterranean, go north through the cave and once outside. Use Wall Climbing to get up the cliff. Wall Climbing can be learned by playing through the Main Story Chapter 3.
Pentelas Region - Map & Secret Areas
- Requires Wall Climbing
- Requires Rope Sliding
Start in Vista of Rhonnar and use Rope Sliding to cross to the northern scaffold. Then move back south along the tree trunks and follow the path up the wall with Wall Climbing.
Keves Castle Region - Map & Secret Area
|1||Advance through Chapter 7|
∟ Until the cutscene in Colony 11
|2||Rope Slide at the point indicated with a circle in the image above|
|3||Break and enter Colony 11|
|4||Search inside Colony 11 after the cutscene to get to the Secret Area|
The cutscene in Chapter 7 of the story will bring you to Colony 11 where you will discover the Secret Area. You can get there by climbing the ladder twice.
Grand Tower Skygarden
|1||Progress through Chapter 7|
└ Clear up to Side Story: Noah
|2||Arrive by following the route pictured above|

|1||After clearing the story, go to ??? and head to the Castle, 4th Floor|
|2||Ride the elevator in the central tower connecting corridor|
|3||Open the door and take the elevator further to get there|
Proceed to the door at the top of the elevator from the Castle, 4th Floor.
Cadensia Region - Map & Secret Area
Just enter the cave southeast of the Ertian Sea and go to the back.
|1||Advance through the story Chapter 6and clear Side Story: Mio Quest|
|2||Gather information at Ascension Grounds in Agnus Castle|
|3||Discuss the information at the Inlet Camp in the Cadensia Region|
|4||Clear the Side Story: Taion|
|5||Arrive by following the route pictured above|
What Are Secret Areas?
Hard To Locate The Landmark
Secret Areas are familiar hard-to-find Landmarks in the Xenoblade series. These are places where you can earn more EXP when you locate them. Reach them by going through storyline and sub-quest progression.
