2Get the "Going Beyond Power" Quest
3Play through the "Going Beyond Power" Quest and master Scree Walking
└ Allows you to Climb up the Quicksand Slope
4Follow the route in the image above

Fornis Region - Map & Secret Areas

Requirements

You can reach this location by going northwest from Fornis and climbing up the cliffs. If you advance through the Main Story, you will be able to go there as soon as you learn how to Wall Climbing. There are high-level enemies on the way. You need to be around Lv 45 to get there.

The Blue Bluffs

You can get there without the need for Traversal Skills by going through the desert via the Great Idalla Ravine. You can get there from the beginning of the game.

The Serrato Spring is located in the Desert. You can also get here without the need for Traversal Skills. You can easily get here by just walking towards it.

Requirements

  • Requires the use of Wall Climbing

From the Lace Subterranean, go north through the cave and once outside. Use Wall Climbing to get up the cliff. Wall Climbing can be learned by playing through the Main Story Chapter 3.

Pentelas Region - Map & Secret Areas

Requirements

  • Requires Wall Climbing
  • Requires Rope Sliding

Start in Vista of Rhonnar and use Rope Sliding to cross to the northern scaffold. Then move back south along the tree trunks and follow the path up the wall with Wall Climbing.

Keves Castle Region - Map & Secret Area

2Rope Slide at the point indicated with a circle in the image above
3Break and enter Colony 11
4Search inside Colony 11 after the cutscene to get to the Secret Area

The cutscene in Chapter 7 of the story will bring you to Colony 11 where you will discover the Secret Area. You can get there by climbing the ladder twice.

2Ride the elevator in the central tower connecting corridor
3Open the door and take the elevator further to get there

What Are Secret Areas?

Hard To Locate The Landmark

Secret Areas are familiar hard-to-find Landmarks in the Xenoblade series. These are places where you can earn more EXP when you locate them. Reach them by going through storyline and sub-quest progression.

To get to the secret area in Keves castle in the spoiler, you also need to have the correct hero active, otherwise the door to the elevator will show a red symbol and you can't open, or even intereact with it.
