How To Unlock Artifacts
Finish Chapter 16 "Cold as the Grave"
In order to equip Artifacts, you need to defeat the second boss in the main story quest, "Cold as the Grave". Defeating the boss unlocks the vault, and from then on you'll be tasked to pick up the "Eridian Synchronizer". Picking it up will finally give you the ability to equip and use Artifacts.
How To Equip Artifacts
| 1 | Open the ECHO menu |

| 2 | Scroll down and select the Artifact slot |
| 3 | Select an artifact to equip it |
Get Artifacts By Looting
You can get Artifacts as random drops from enemies. Similar to guns, the legendary ones can only be obtained by defeating the bosses.

Artifacts are powerful items that you can equip to give you an edge in combat via passive buffs such as additional damage, increased health, and added effects to your guns. Make good use of Artifacts by using ones that complement and synergize with your playstyle.
