There Will Be Microtransactions
It has been confirmed that Borderlands 3 will have microtransactions in the game. Despite this, the things that you will be able to purchase will be purely cosmetic and will offer no gameplay advantages.
What Can You Buy In-Game
Cosmetic Items
You will be able to buy cosmetic items that will change the look of your Vault Hunter, and weapons. These include Vault Hunter skins, heads, weapon skins, and more! Please note that these items are purely cosmetic.

Along with cosmetic items, players will also be able to purchase upcoming DLC. These DLCs will include extra campaigns, missions, and quests that were not part of the base game.
Free For Season Pass Owners
Players who opted to purchase the Season Pass or the Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 3 do not need to buy the upcoming DLC as it is already included with the edition of the game that they've purchased.
