What Is The Guardian Rank System?
End Game Feature Similar To Badass Rank
The Guardian Rank System is an endgame feature similar to the previous game's Badass Rank System. In Guardian Rank, you will earn coins that you can use to unlock bonus stats for your character!
Unlocked After Beating Main Story
The Guardian Rank system immediately unlocks after completing the game's main story mode.
Guardian Rank Bar Will Appear After Story
After completing the game's main campaign, a new progress bar will appear on top of your XP bar. This bar is leveled up using XP. Once you fill the Guardian Rank bar, you will unlock a Guardian Token.

Once you have a Guardian Token, you will be able to spend it and upgrade one stat from 6 randomly chosen stats from the Enforcer, Survivor, and Hunter tree. Each tree will have 2 stats selected as choices.

Guardian Rank Enforcer Tree

The Enforcer Tree is all about damage. Spending your Guardian Token here, will increase your overall damage output by increasing your DPS with the sources listed above.
Guardian Rank Survivor Tree
- FFYL (Fight For Your Life) Duration
- FFYL Movement Speed
- Max Health
- Shield Capacity
- Shield Recharge Delay
- Shield Recharge Rate
The Survivor Tree will turn your Vault Hunter into an indestructible nightmare! With bonuses to increase your health, shields, and even fight for your life, you will keep standing back up no matter how hard enemies hit!
Guardian Rank Hunter Tree
- Accuracy
- Action Skill Cooldown
- Luck (Rare Drop Rate)
- Recoil Reduction
- Reload Speed
The Hunter Tree helps you become more proficient with your guns! Be it with recoil reduction, reload speed, or even how often a rare gun drops! This Guardian Rank Tree is for those trigger fingers!
Earning Guardian Rewards
Earn Guardian Rewards By Spending Tokens
By spending a certain amount of tokens into a single tree, you will earn various buffs pertaining to the type of tree. These require a lot of dedication, but will reward you with strong passive abilities that will make your playthrough much easier!
When Do You Earn Guardian Rewards
You will earn Guardian Rewards by spending a total of 10, 15, 25, 35, 50, or 75 tokens into a certain tree. Once these requirements are met, you will be rewarded with a bonus passive ability, and weapon and Vault Hunter skins!
