What Are Lost Items?
Items That Are Lost By Other Players
Lost Items are dropped items that can be found all over the field. If you ever pick up a lost item and return it to the owner, you will earn MP (Merit Points).
Check The Lost & Found When You Pick It Up
*You can see where the item was dropped.

When you opened up the Lost & Found Communications, you will see a list of lost items. After finding the item and opening the Lost & Found Screen, you will get a thank you and MP. If you ever pick up a lost item, check the lost item communication.
MP Can Be Used At The Trading Post

After earning Merit Points, you can exchange those items at the Trading Post. However, you need to first reach Star Rank: One Star and Above for the Trading Post to be available.
How To Earn Merit Points Efficiently

② | Go to the location on the map and pick up the lost item |
③ | Open lost items tab and receive thank you |
④ | Return to the village when there are no more lost items on the map |
⑤ | Return to the map and check if there are any dropped items |

⑦ | Continue repeating until it appears |
Picking Up Lost Items → Repeat By Returning To The Village
Merit Points are earned by picking up lost items from other players on the map. you will be able to earn Merit Points. If you find a lost item on the map, be sure to pick it up.
It Can Be Seen In Your Map
If a lost item has fallen off from other players, a bag icon will appear on your map. When the lost item mark disappears on the map, you can find new lost items by returning to the village and repeatedly entering and exiting the area.
Be Sure To Receive A Thank You
If the lost item communication window is full, new items will not come out unless you receive a thank you. When you go around collecting lost items, be sure to consider it as one set until you receive a thank you for the lost items you picked up.
There Are Drops Even If You Are Offline
Even if you don't have an internet connection, you can still get MP from drops. Check the lost item tab frequently to see if there are any lost items.
Switching To Online Mode
If you are havign trouble finding a lost item in offline mode, it may appear on the map when you switch to online mode. If you have an internet connection, it is a good idea to switch between online and offline when searching for lost items. Note that you'll need a subscription to Nintendo Online to avail of this feature!
What To Do When There Are No Drops
Check If Your Member Rank Star Is Higher Than 1
Lost items tab will be available after your member rank star is higher than 1. Dropped items will also fall when the ban on communication is lifted.

There is a max limit to the window that can be displayed in the lost item tab, and 12 more lost items are not displayed on the map. Even if you pick up a lost item, it will not disappear from the lost item abt until you receive a thank you, so if the tab is full, no new lost item will show even if you pick up the lost item. Don't forget to receive the Thank You message from the Lost and Found newsletter frequently.
Constantly Collecting Lost Items
If you are constantly collecting lost items, it will not immediately update and respawn. It is recommended that you wait for a bit before completing them all at once. You can also switch between online and offline mode if you have not been able to/
Areas You Can't Reach
On maps with height differences, it is necessary to search all the places above and below the lost item icon. Do note that as the story progresses, cliff climbing and water movement will be unlocked, so even if there is an icon on the map, lost items may appear in places that can not be physically reached now.

Prioritize Getting The Evolution Items
Merit Points are mainly used for exchanging them for items that are for evolution. It is recommended that you collect enough MP in order for you to exchange it for evolution items for the Pokemon you want to evolve.
