This is a new mechanic feature in the game which gives the traditional turn-based battle a new strategy. Both styles have their advantages & disadvantages. So, use the styles wisely in battles!

Battle System Style & Mechanics

Sometimes Used By Wild Pokemon

Trainers are not the only ones that are capable of using the Styles move, but Wild Pokemon can also use this in some cases. Activating their styles can be used in your favor, so try to use this as an advantage.

PP Consumption Increases

Normally when using a move, it only consumes 1 PP, but when a Style is used it consumes 2 PP. So, be sure to manage your PP so you won't end up in a bad situation.

Agile Style Increases Turn Order & Reduces Its Attack Stats.

When Agile Style is in use, the turn order changes, as you can see once you've finished with your turn, you get to choose your next move again. However, you may gain more turns in the long run but your damage is decreased at this point.

Status Dealing Attacks Are Recommended

You can also use Agile Style attacks to Paralyze or use another status that disrupts enemies turn. By dealing with status effects to enemies in early battle, you will be able to make this fight a lot easier.

Strong Style Increases Your Attack Stats & Reduces Your Turns

The Strong style gives you more damage but you lose a turn and give your opponent more turn. We recommend using this move if you want to finish the opponent with a single blow.
