Lock Onto Dark Riku To Keep Track of Him

Dark Riku will constantly be on the move, mixing up his short and long range attacks. Make sure to lock onto them in order to avoid getting hit from a blind spot! You will also be able to switch up your strategy if he ever decides to use a different attack pattern!

Red Shockwaves are Unblockable

You will not be able to block Dark Riku's red shockwave attacks. Dodge while he is reeling up in order to avoid this attack!

Guard and Evade While Powered Up

Dark Riku will enter a power up phase after a while in battle. While in this mode, defend his ground shockwaves and melee attacks, and dodge the light pillars.

Keep On Attacking Until He Teleports Away

Once you are able to land a hit on Dark Riku, press the attack and keep the hits coming! You will be able to juggle him for a bit until he decides to teleport away. Unload all of your high damaging attacks on him before he starts to recover!

Attacks Deflect When Shield Is Up

Dark Riku will sometimes have a shield up during the fight. This small transparent dome will negate the damage that you deal. For this situation, it would be best to focus on dodging and running away from him until the shield wears off.

Keep Away From the Summoned Totems

At times, Dark Riku will summon a set of totems onto the battlefield. These explode on contact & can be used to force you into a corner. When you see some totems being summoned, dodge away and get yourself to an open portion of the stage.

Remember to Bring a Kupo Coin

Remember to always bring a Kupo Coin with you. This will instantly revive you with full health in the untimely event that you fall in battle!

Data Dark Riku / Riku Replica Moves

Teleport Combo

Dark Riky will attack you from different directions, teleporting in order to move quickly. When he does this, try to guard to avoid taking heavy damage!

Shockwave Attack

Some of Dark Riku's attacks will summon a shockwave that travels away from him in several directions. These can easily be dodged to the side. If Dark Riku is far away, you will be able to get yourself to an open space where the shockwave will not hit you.

Shockwave Attack Gets Wider Range

Dark Riku's shockwave attack will also get a wider range in the fight. It's best to keep in between the lightning strikes to avoid the damage this move does.

Summoning Totems

The totems that Dark Riku summons will explode upon contact. If they are not touched, they will explode after some time has passed instead. These can easily be avoided by jumping over and dodging away from them.

Long Range Scythe Attack

Once in awhile, the ground beneath you will turn black. After a few seconds, scythes will emerge from the ground. When you see the scythes, dodge away to avoid getting hit!

Red Lightning Strikes

Dark Riku will also summon red lights that will appear on the ground. Be sure not to stand on them as they will light up and cause damage on you.

Overhead Slam

When Dark Riku jumps up and will slam down on the ground, creating a shockwave. Dodge out of the way and get out of the shockwave's diameter to keep safe.
