Install Size & Required Capacity

70GB Confirmed For PC

Cyberpunk 2077 PC

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 have officially announced the PC requirements needed to run the game. It will require at least 70GB of storage space for it to be installed on your PC. While it is well to prepare 70GB in advance, it is good practice to have a bit of elbowroom and add in more or less 10GB for updates and extra content.

Consoles Likely The Same Disk Size As The PC

Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Limited Edition

There is currently no official announcement about the size required by Cyberpunk 2077 on both Sony and Microsoft game consoles. Although consoles have a different file format compared to the PC, the sizes will more or less be similar to that of the PC version, being 70GB.

Different Size For Next-Gen Consoles

With more powerful hardware, the next-generation consoles versions may require more storage capacity due to more detailed textures. Do take note of this when thinking of playing Cyberpunk 2077 on either the PS5, or Xbox Series X or S.

Preload To Limit Bandwidth

If you are concerned about bandwidth limitations but have the required disk space, you can preload the game to immediately jump in once the game officially releases.

Tips To Free Disk Space

Delete Old Games

The fastest and simplest way to free up some space in your storage drive is to delete games that you do not play anymore. If you have a physical disc or if you bought it digitally, you can still install again anytime you want to.

Invest In A New Drive

Applicable to both PCs and consoles, buying an SSD or another HDD can help in increasing your device's capacity to store games. You can also go with cheaper external drives for both the PS4 and the Xbox One to save a bit more.
