What Is Breach Protocol? How To Hack
A Method Of Hacking
Breach Protocol is a type of hacking that you can carry out in Cyberpunk 2077. You'll have to choose matching letters and numbers from a grid. Doing so successfully will let you extract items or money from the target device.
Can Be Upgraded With Intelligence Perks
Breach Protocol can be improved in a variety of ways by investing points into the similarly named Breach Protocol Skill tree. Unlocking Perks here will give you various upgrades, including increasing the breach time, increasing how many components you gain from extractions, and more.
How To Do Breach Protocol
Choose The Matching Values
Breach Protocol involves simply choosing a series of letter and numeral values from the code matrix on the left. You must choose values which match the ones indicated on the right side of the screen!
Matching Multiple Sequences Gives More Rewards
Depending on the device you're hacking, you'll see multiple possible sequences with various "Datamines". This all provide individual rewards. It's possible to get only one, a few, or all available datamines in a given Breach Protocol.
Choose Second Number From The Same Row/Column
You can only select a second number from the same row or column as the first one you selected! In the above example, the red box is the sequence we chose first. This locked us into choosing the second sequence from the same column only!
Possible selection choices seem to alternate between Column and Row. Use this to your advantage to help match as many sequences on the right side as possible, as this will provide you with more loot!
