What Is Armor? Mechanics Explained
Armor Increases Health and Guard

Equipping Armor mainly increases Health (Max Health) and Guard. Guard determines your damage reduction while guarding, and at 100 Guard, you take no damage when you Guard.
There is No Defense Stat
This game has no defense stat, so Armor does not directly reduce the damage you take. Instead, increasing your Max Health allows you to withstand damage more effectively.
Armor Can Be Equipped to 4 Parts

Armor is available for four body parts: Head, Torso, Legs, and Feet. You can equip one piece to each slot, for a total of four Armor pieces.
Prioritize High-Stat Gear

When selecting Armor, prioritize pieces that significantly increase Health or Guard. From the Demon Gate Labyrinth onward, enemy attack power rises sharply, so reaching 100 Guard is ideal.
Tips! | If your Guard reaches 100 through Core or Mastery effects, prioritize increasing Health instead. |

Some Armor Also Has Base Perks

Some Armor has base Perks, such as 'Stamina Recovery', that are separate from the five Perk slots. The base perk 'Movement Speed +X%', which appears only on Feet armor, is especially useful in boss battles, so keep these pieces.
Health and Guard First, Then Perks
For Armor, Health and Guard are the most important stats because they directly affect your survivability. If the increases to Health or Guard are similar, prioritize the Armor with better Perks.
How to Get Strong Armor
Crafted from Blueprints

You can craft Armor up to Rare rarity from Blueprints. Each time you craft equipment, its Perks are randomized, so crafting multiple times can result in stronger Armor with better Perks.
Tips! | Rare-rarity Armor is slightly too weak for safely exploring the deeper areas of the Demon Gate Labyrinth or the River of Souls. |
|---|
Prioritize Epic and Legendary Armor
From the Demon Gate Labyrinth onward, prioritize equipping Epic or Legendary Armor when you obtain it. In most cases, the combined Health and Guard values are higher than those of Rare-rarity Armor.
Obtained from Deeper Floor Exploration

The deeper you explore, the higher the quality of Armor you can obtain. In the second area of the Demon Gate Labyrinth, Epic and Legendary Armor can drop, while in the deeper River of Souls, Legendary Armor drops at a much higher rate.
| Floor | Obtainable Rarity |
| Demon Gate Labyrinth (2nd Area) | - From Treasure Buds: Epic (Rarely Legendary) - From Flesh Doors (Eye, Ear, Mouth Keys): Legendary |
| River of Souls | - High chance to obtain Legendary |
Obtained by Defeating Bosses & Strong Enemies

Each boss and strong enemy has specific Armor rarities they can drop, allowing you to target farm the rarity you want.
| Boss | Obtainable Rarity |
| Dreamseeker | Rare |
| Tormented Toll Dreamcraver | Epic |
| Mironette Nocent Dreamcraver | Epic Legendary |
Use the Ant Bazaar Sparingly

You can also purchase Armor at the Ant Bazaar, but Epic and Legendary pieces have very high minimum prices, so it is not recommended unless you have plenty of Kill Coins. If you choose to buy gear, prioritize Weapons instead, as they have a more direct impact on your combat power.
